Glyn Jones wanted a logo to go with his new car valeting business way back in 2009 and I stepped up to deliver a logo that's done him proud ever since!
Glyn didn't want something with more style than substance; he realised that a logo needs to be symbolic and easy to remember, because the people who see it will be often passing by at around 30mph! Glyn loves Italian cars and so the route to take here was obvious, I tried a few designs inspired by Ferrari and Alfa Romeo, but Glyn eventually settled on a Lamborghini style shield with the initials of his business name displayed diagonally.
Able to be positioned either underneath or to the side of the sheild icon, we chose a simple sans-serif font for use as the main text. Again keeping things simple, we both decided a basic colour combination was required, however we opted to add a subtle gradient for the times where the logo would be visible in at large sizes or close up. I'm very happy with the result and over the years Glyn's business has gone from strength to strength, in part due to his understanding of the importance and value of solid branding.
But to ensure I deliver the best results I can I limit the number of clients I work with at once.
